Our Services

Auslan for Families offers quiet a wide range of services across the board. If extra help is needed other than what we offer in this list that is okay. Email or call us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs or we will certainly know someone that can help.

Auslan for Families

This is offered for families who are trying to learn Auslan as they have a Deaf child or Adult in their home or family. Auslan for families can be offered in the family home environment. Mainly offered to clients who have Auslan funding through NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme).

Auslan Group Classes

Auslan Training is an 8 week basic course to learn the basics quickly. It provides people with a quick and easy way to learn. It’s 1 hour once a week to learn how to sign in a 8 week crash course. 

Signed English Tutoring

For individuals who are nonverbal or use sign to assist with any other communication needs they may need. Signed English tutoring is broad and for a wide variety of people with different diagnosis. Whether this be a genetic disorder, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome or Apraxia.

Auslan private Group or One-on-One

Private groups for example volunteer groups, Lions, Mens Shed, Cape Care, CWA, etc. And One-on-one private lessons on exactly what you want to know 

Teaching Auslan

To assit Deaf and hard of hearing people to develop and learn Deaf Specific Life Skills assisting you to live independently. setting up assisted living and how to do things in the home. This includes things such as using technology, apps to help use the telephone, Helping to provide strategies with communication situations and many more. 

Deaf Mentoring

Support with NDIS Budgets, getting onto the NDIS program, Connecting you to other services and providers who can help assist you to reach your goals.

Support and Connection

This program is designed to have a deeper understanding of Auslan, Deaf culture, Deaf people, access, and communication issues Deaf people face at work, school or in the wider environment. This is used for professional development or to help support parents or family to better understand what the Deaf person in their life is going through.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness Training

Supporting you in new experiences within the community such as going to the shops, movies, swimming, and connection with the incredible Deaf and hard of hearing community at regular events.
